If you're exploring the stunning landscapes of Marifjøra, Norway, a visit to Kafé Marifjøra is an experience you won't want to miss. Nestled along the breathtaking fjord, this charming café exudes warmth and hospitality, making it the perfect pit-stop for travelers and locals alike.

Kafé Marifjøra offers a delightful array of dishes, with an emphasis on vegetarian options that are both satisfying and flavorful. Regulars rave about the curry with vegetables, which is a comforting, aromatic dish bursting with spices and rich flavors that envelop your senses. And let’s not forget the popular dim sums; they are a must-try for anyone looking to indulge in delectable bites that will keep you coming back for more.

The atmosphere inside Kafé Marifjøra is as inviting as the food. With its cozy decor and stunning views of the fjord, it’s the kind of place where you can unwind after a day of sightseeing. One recent customer, Katy Ware, remarked on the welcoming vibe that encouraged relaxation, while the friendly owners went above and beyond by staying open late to serve her party. It’s this personal touch that makes Kafé Marifjøra truly special.

However, it’s worth noting, as customer Magdalena Balcerzak pointed out, that while the vegetarian options are commendable, the café could enhance their offerings with richer plant protein sources like tofu. This thoughtful feedback suggests that Kafé Marifjøra has the potential to cater even more effectively to its vegan and vegetarian clientele, making the dining experience even more inclusive.

Whether you're looking to share stories with friends over a plate of flavorful curry, or enjoy a quiet moment sipping coffee while gazing at the fjord, Kafé Marifjøra delivers a delightful culinary experience that resonates deeply with its visitors. With kind service and a commitment to quality, it’s clear why so many patrons highly recommend this hidden gem. So, make room in your itinerary and let Kafé Marifjøra be a highlight of your culinary journey through Norway.

For those who appreciate good food served in a lovely setting, Kafé Marifjøra is not just a café; it’s a warming embrace of Norwegian hospitality and culinary creativity.

We were looking for a place to stop for dinner on our way to an Airbnb in Luster. The owners were kind enough to stay open a little late and let us in. The food was delicious, the service was great, and the vibe was casual and welcoming. Would absolutely recommend eating here.

We’ve ate here 3 times. There are two vegetarian options curry with vegetables and pasta with vegetables. Curry was quite taste, pasta was a little bit too dry. Staff was always nice and helpful.

Absolutely excellent place in Marifjora right by the fjord! Amazing food (have to try the dim sums!), very friendly owners, cozy atmosphere, excellent value for the price too.

Delicious restaurant, with a great vegetarian choice. One of the best culinary experiences in Norway. I highly recommend

There were 2 vegetarian options - curry and egg noodles with veggies. Curry had a very nice rich flavor, but noodles were dry (do not recommend). 4 stars instead of 5 for not offering a rich plant protein source such as tofu. Please be more inclusive for vegans and vegetarians (vege options are not on the official menu - you have to ask about it). You have a view on the fjord/parking lot. Dogs welcome outside. Long wait time - this is the only restaurant in the area (except for the Torvis Hotel).

We visited this cafe in the evening for a quick snack and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. We started with soups and dumplings, both of which exceeded our expectations. As we explored the main course menu, we noticed a variety of chicken dishes, a rarity in most of the restaurants we’ve been to during our Norway trip. Intrigued, we ordered the Thai red curry with chicken, chicken fried rice, chicken pasta and Norwegian meatballs. To our delight, every dish was exceptionally delicious. Later, we discovered that the owner’s wife, who hails from Asia, is the main chef. This explained the authentic and flavorful South Asian cuisine we enjoyed. During our trip in Norway, we were in search of good South Asian food, and we’re thrilled to have found this restaurant. For anyone craving exceptional South Asian cuisine, this restaurant stands out as one of the best in Norway. Even their take on the Norwegian authentic dish, meatballs, was expertly prepared and delightful

Wonderful food, the best I had in Norway! Owner is from Thailand, very local place, but makes food for the elites in Oslo. Place is only open in the summer so don’t miss it!
